“The true nature of us, is higher consciousness”
  • We are all able to interact with our brain, and command our bodies, into the subconscious so much, that we are able to make the subconscious, conscious

  • Wim talks about a recent study he participated in (described in this article)
    • He wore a suit that was perfused with very cold water, and went in an MRI machine
    • Using his mind, he was able to prevent his body’s temperature from dropping
    • “I was warming the water up, just by thought”
    • Typically (for the average person) when our body is under stress (like this cold stress):
      • The prefrontal cortex registers this, and allows us to actually realize the fact that we feel cold. When we’re cold, there’s lots of activity in the prefrontal cortex.
      • The insular cortex (activated during deep meditation, or when you feel relaxed) is inactive at the moment when the body is experiencing stress
    • But what happened for Wim?
      • His prefrontal cortex was completely shut down
      • His insular cortex was very active
        • “While being under stress, I was in deep meditation”
We Have More Than the 5 Senses
  • Wim says we have more than 5

    • The 7th – The immune system (proprioception)
      • Wim says we have the innate ability to activate the immune system, and direct B/T cells (immune cells) on an intruder when it’s necessary
      • To prove this, after only 4 days of training, Wim and 12 other individuals had a strain of E.Coli (an endotoxin) injected into them, and within a quarter of an hour, 100% of them were not affected

        • They essentially suppressed the body’s inflammation process, and inflammation is the cause of any disease/ailment
